Open position for technician (including qualified retired persons).

Lab technician is required for part time position in Bar Ilan University’s Lab. for Energy and Optoelectronic Materials (headed today by Prof. David Cahen for Prof. Arie Zaban, now BIU president). Research focuses mainly on photovoltaics, including new photovoltaics materials using a combinatorial science approach.  We have different kind of instruments and measuring devises that need specific care, maintenance and calibrations. Therefore, we are looking for a personal qualified for this task.    

Requirements:

1. Part time position preferred
   
   Ability to converse with non-Hebrew speakers, to understand manuals in English, and to be in contact with foreign companies by phone and mail (where we will help upon need).
   
   High technical / improvising skills.
   
   Comfortable with software/ hardware environments. Specifically, vacuum systems, gloveboxes, deposition systems, electrical and opto-electrical measurements.
   
   Good social and team working skills.
