The quest for light is an ongoing journey for human beings in a chaotic and hectic society, where everything is too fast and immediate, and where people lose their sense of peace and balance. When we perceive the world through new technologies, it seems that part of reality is lost: the part that pulsates beneath the surface of things and that can only be reached through relentless searching.
I am fascinated by Kafka’s world where it is impossible to take a step without stumbling or becoming confused, a world in which our inner perfection helps us survive. This world of blurred borders, where objects appear in mysterious ways, inspired me to capture dreams, ideas, emotions, magical powers and light on canvas. Kafka's texts are full of predictions and anticipations. Hopeless things are broken or carried away by the wind. Some people are brought down, some are crowned, and some are lost and never found. Kafka believed that, when climbing to a great height, one could suddenly enter the radiance of the distant sun. My artwork moves between reality and imagination, combining knowledge and emotion. I have tried to express my astonishment at the particles of light in the bottomless darkness of chaos, where spirit, sadness, and faith intermingle. I am convinced that even a small spot of light can dispel the darkness that surrounds and inhabits us.
